Kwa Chze Siang
Passion for DanceAdult Ballet
With more than 12 years’ experience teaching dance and choreographing in schools, Chze Siang is excited to teach open adult ballet classes at Dance Arts. His choreographies have consistently received numerousGold and Distinction awards at the Singapore Youth Festival. As a dancer, he began his training in Chinese dance and acrobatics, under the tutelage of Mr. Leow Ee Chiang, going on to dance for the People’s Association with whom he has participated in numerous Chingay and National Day Parade performances. In 2009, Chze Siang received a scholarship from Jitterbugs Swingapore in their Developing Artiste Program during which he was trained in Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet.
He had the opportunity to work under both local and international teachers like Jimmy Vairon, Alexey Balash, Fen Tonge, Zhang Minggao and Tiffany Wrightson. He has displayed a penchant for classical Ballet under the guidance of Mr. Donato C. Ferrer and is trained in both CSTD and RAD styles. Chze Siang has also had the opportunity to train and dance competitively in Latin Ballroom with Melvin and Sharon from The Dance Academy (TDA).
Chze Siang’s approach to teaching ballet stems from a love for body mechanics and imagery cues that are effective even for those who don’t dance professionally!
